BACKGROUND
The Sentinelese people are often described as one of the most isolated tribes on the planet. The small island they occupy is about 30 square miles and supports a population of only 50-100. The island they inhabit, North Sentinel Island, is part of the Andaman Islands in the Bay of Bengal. All of the knowledge gathered about the tribe has been observed either from a distance or by comparison to other tribes, which is because of their extreme isolation. Their isolation is also protected and saved the Sentinelese culture.
